Born in Katsushika, Tokyo.
From a young age, Sebu was exposed to playing the piano, organ, electric organ and composing music and grew up listening to a wide range of music from techno, rock, contemporary music, classical music, and free jazz.
Being deeply impressed by film scores from films such as “Betty Blue” and “The Lover,” she personally studied under the famous composer Gabriele Jared in Paris. For her graduation project, she received high acclamation from the judge Antoine Duhamel – French composer of “Pierrot Le Fou,” and graduated at the top of the class.
After returning to Japan, she appeared as “Sebe Hiroko” in large-scale music festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival and Count Down Japan.
In September 2018 and March 2019, she participated as a composer and performer in the ISSEY MIYAKE show during Paris Fashion Week.
She also released her latest work “Raw Scaramanga” in 2018.
She continues to demonstrate her talent as a composer, creating songs for TV ads (Uniqlo, Soukenbicha) and film scores in Japan (River’s Edge, Every Day A Good Day, Love At Least – first ending song she was responsible for). She aims to experience the one & only music in the world, disrupting and challenging the stereotypes which exist around us.
